Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (Lacera) has hired David Kushner as CIO, Pensions & Investments reports. He will take up his new role at the $35 billion fund, which is the largest county retirement system in the U.S serving 156,000 members, in mid-November.
Kushner will replace John McClelland, who is serving as interim CIO and will return to the post of principal investment officer, real estate. Previously, Kushner worked as deputy director of investments at the $15.3 billion San Francisco City & County Employees’ Retirement System.
