Bill Coughran has been appointed by Californian venture capital firm Sequoia Capital as a partner, AltAssets reports. He will make early- and growth-stage investments for the venture firm as well as coaching founders to help them build engineering-centric organizations.
Most recently, he was senior vice president of engineering at Google Inc. He had previously set up Entrisphere, a telecom equipment vendor which was eventually purchased by Ericsson, Swedish provider of technology and services to telecom operators.
