The London Metal Exchange (LME) is opening an access point for its LMEselect electronic trading platform at Interxion Holding’s London data center. The access point will enable the use of LMElive, the bourse’s real-time price and data system. The members of LME will be able to take advantage of low-latency access to the LME as well as reduced complexity and connectivity costs of trading on the electronic trading platform. By placing its servers at Interxion’s site, the exchange hopes to draw traders who use other bourses and alternative trading platforms also located at the same data centre, adds Financial Times.
