Standard Bank Argentina Starts Bond Sale

The Argentine unit of South African financial services group, Standard Bank, has raised $24 million in a bond sale.

The Argentine unit of South African financial services group, Standard Bank, has raised $24 million in a bond sale, Reuters reports. The sale of bonds, due in 2012, is part of $250 million debt program.

Standard Bank Argentina can issue the debt included in the $250 million borrowing program in Argentine pesos or any other currency. The bonds cannot be converted into shares.
