Global investment manager Franklin Templeton has rolled out an Australian equities fund for retail and institutional investors, Financial Standard reports. The product’s objective will be to beat the S&P/ASX 100 Accumulation Index over the medium to long term after fees and taxes.
The new vehicle will be managed by the team of Australian equities manager Balanced Equity Management which was taken over by Franklin Templeton in July 2011. The fund seeks to offer long-term capital growth and income via investment in shares in leading Australian companies.
