Mercer has appointed David Kaplan as global leader of clinical services and solutions for its health and benefits business, PLANSPONSOR reports. Based in San Francisco, he will be in charge of the development of clinically based solutions aimed at managing employers’ health- and absence-related expenses.
He will work with Mercer’s clinicians around the globe to offer clinical solutions for multinational, regional and local clients. Most recently, Kaplan was serving at Towers Watson and predecessor firm Towers Perrin, where he headed the care management practice and the custom care management service line from 2005 to 2011.
