Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has appointed Jeff Hack as its COO, The Wall Street Journal reports. Hack, who works under President Gregory Fleming, will manage the ongoing technology/operations integration activities and will also be in charge of global risk management at the brokerage. Hack will replace Jim Rosenthal, who was previously the division’s COO. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Hack served as COO of JP Morgan’s worldwide securities services business and earlier held the same role in its global private banking and private wealth management arm.
