ING Clarion Partners is seeking to launch a direct real estate investment vehicle, Pensions & Investments reports. The portfolio is designed to be a part of asset-allocation or target-date funds in defined contribution plans. The firm is also planning to launch a real estate investment trust for its individual investors. Both funds are expected to include a small amount of assets in publicly traded real estate securities for daily liquidity.
