Uralkali, a Russian fertilizer producer, is borrowing a $1 billion loan from a group of international banks, Bloomberg reports. The lead arrangers of the new loan facility are Unicredit and ING Groep. The five-year loan will be used to refinance a previous loan from Russian bank Sberbank. Uralkali unit Silvinit took the loan to fund the development of the Polovodovsky potash deposit.
