New York-based hedge fund firm, Highbridge Capital Management, has laid off its entire event-driven team, headed by Jason Erslaw, DealBreaker.Com reports. The step was taken to reduce the overlap between the work of the event-driven team and that of the hedge fund’s other teams.
The CTO of Highbridge, Jonathan Zhukovsky, has also quit and will be replaced by current CFO, Christopher Hayward, who will assume both roles. Highbridge, which was founded by Glenn Dubin and Henry Swieca, manages $50 billion in hedge fund assets for JP Morgan, adds FINalternatives.
