The Future Fund assets have lost more than $2 billion in value during the third quarter of 2011, Business Spectator reports, citing The Australian. The loss has led the sovereign wealth fund’s board to shuffle and trim the fund’s exposure to Australian equities.
The fund’s assets dropped 2.9 percent to $73.18 billion from $75.39 billion during the quarter. The fund has decreased its exposure to Australian equities to 10.6 percent as on September 30 from 11.1 percent of its assets as on June 30.
