UBS Global Asset Management has appointed Ben Squire as head of credit research for Asia Pacific, Financial Standard reports. He will also serve as a portfolio manager in the Australian fixed income group, while working for the firm’s global asset management global credit research team. Squire has worked with NewSmith Capital Partners, BT Financial Group and Bankers Trust Australia. The firm also hired Christian Baylis as portfolio manager for inflation-linked portfolios, undertaking market analysis and executing credit and related over-the-counter derivatives.
