HSBC Securities Services (HSS) has set up a new fund administration infrastructure and operating model in Asia, Asia Asset reports. The newly launched platform will help clients meet requirements for transparency following increasing market volatility and regulatory scrutiny.
HSS can expand its capabilities to pension funds and sovereign wealth funds. Fund accounting platform Multifonds will provide the multi-jurisdiction, multi-asset class functionality for the new service. In the first phase, the model is being implemented in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
