Edward Keller
Morgan Stanley
With its long history of providing financing, stock lending and other services for hedge funds, Morgan Stanley stands proud as one of the top prime brokers. Managers know the firm’s prime brokerage executives for their loyalty and longevity, as well as for their focus on client relationships and customer service.
Edward Keller, 47, fits that mold perfectly. The Morgan Stanley managing director joined the firm in 1994 from Lehman Brothers Holdings and has served in a variety of roles and locations, spending four years in London and eight as head of the Boston office before returning to New York in 2006. In December 2009 he was promoted by global prime brokerage head Alex Ehrlich to run prime brokerage and swaps distribution in the U.S.
