GMR Airports Holding has received $131 million in new commitment from four private equity funds, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Standard Chartered Private Equity (Mauritius) III, the JM Financial-Old Lane India Corporate Opportunities Fund I, Build India Capital Advisors and JM Financial Trustee led the financing in the GMR Infrastructure subsidiary.
The Bangalore-based firm earlier raised about $200 million from the SBI Macquarie Infrastructure Fund on March 31 this year. GMR Airports holds a 54% stake in the Delhi International Airport, 63% in the GMR Hyderabad International Airport, 40% in the Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport and 77% in the Male International Airport.
