IMA Structured Product Study Flawed, Says BarCap

Colin Dickie, managing director of Barclays Capital, said the recent study by the Investment Management Association on investment returns from trackers funds and guaranteed equity bonds was flawed. Responding to a call by Richard Saunders, ceo of the IMA, for structured products to publish the maturity values of products to enhance transparency for investors, Dickie found the study was faulty because risk profiles of the products compared were different from each other.
