Steven Alperin is retiring from the Harvard University as its endowment manager, Business Journal reports. He has handled the university’s endowment fund for 21 years. Alperin, the fund’s managing director of emerging-market equities, will leave after Harvard’s in-house investment managers are reorganized. He is departing a year after the university’s decision to tie its money managers’ compensation to the endowment fund’s performance.
