Qatar National Bank is planning a rights issue in the second quarter of 2011, The Wall Street Journal reports. The bank is seeking to raise its capital by 25% to fund its ongoing expansion plans. The rights issue will be conducted at a price of $27.47 per share, which represents the nominal share value of $2.7 per share and a premium of $24.7 per share. The issue would take place after the bonus share distribution by the bank.
