Futures brokerage Newedge has partnered Sweden’s Orc Software to set up a direct high-speed link between Chicago and Hong Kong, Financial Times reports. U.S. traders will be able to execute high-speed and complex trades across Asian markets via Newedge’s Hong Kong data centre and using Orc’s trading platform. The trades include market-making, spread trades and volatility trading strategies. They will also be able to trade exchange-traded funds in India, Hong Kong and Korea against their underlying holdings.
