U.S. private equity firm, Water Street Healthcare Partners, has acquired OraPharma. The Chicago-based firm that focuses on health care industry acquisitions bought the Pennsylvania-based company from Johnson & Johnson (J&J).
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Water Street has also appointed Janet Vergis as the new CEO of OraPharma. Vergis has earlier served as president of New Jersey-based Janssen Pharmaceutica.
