BlackRock has appointed Lee Kempler as managing director and executive director of the BlackRock Investment Institute. Kempler will work under Richard Kushel, head of Blackrock’s portfolio management group. Kempler joins BlackRock from McKinsey, where he served as principal and director of knowledge for the global management consulting firm. BlackRock has also named Ewen Cameron-Watt as chief investment strategist for the institute.
