Institutional Investor’s 2015 All-America Fixed-Income Research Team includes 12 analysts making their first appearance on the roster — five who rank as individuals and seven who serve as team leaders.

Special mention goes to Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Jason Kilgariff, the only dually ranked newcomer. He captures third place in Media & Entertainment and a runner-up position in Telecommunications Services, both of which are in the Investment Grade category.

Two other BofA Merrill analysts debut this year: Matthew Fields, a runner-up in Metals (High Yield); and Geoffrey McKinney, a runner-up in Basic Industries (Investment Grade).

Citi’s Anindya Basu and Ratul Roy helm the crew that claims third place in Credit Derivatives. Their colleague Jason Shoup joins with previously ranked Stephen Antczak in leading the firm’s Investment-Grade Strategy squad to a runner-up finish.

Jeffrey Currie guides the Goldman, Sachs & Co. team to an impressive debut atop the Commodities sector.

The other newcomers are:

* Evan Brown and Calvin Tse, leaders of the Morgan Stanley team that places second in Currency/Foreign Exchange;

* Jacob Kurosaki of J.P. Morgan, third place in Collateralized Loan Obligations (co-leader with Rishad Ahluwalia)

* Richard Kus of Jefferies, third place in Paper & Packaging (High Yield);

* Larry Liou of J.P. Morgan, third place in Electric Utilities (High Yield).

A total of 177 analysts — 65 of whom rank in more than one sector — appear on this year’s All-America Fixed-Income Research Team. Click here to view the full ranking.

Note: This story has been updated to include J.P. Morgan’s Jacob Kurosaki, co-leader (with Rishad Ahluwalia) of the No. 3 team in Collateralized Loan Obligations.
